The Todos Santos House is sited to maximize views, natural ventilation and outdoor living space while responding to site topography and existing vegetation. The house is located 300 meters from the Pacific Ocean, just north of the town of Todos Santos. Separate structures create a linked series of outdoor courtyards and patios, each located for specific views and climatic response.

The main courtyard entry is along the Patio del Mar. A framed view of Punto Lobo and a fountain mark the entry. Inside, views east are to the Sierra Las Lagunas and West to the ocean. The main courtyard, on the north side of the house is protected from the sun and organized around existing cardon and pitaya cactus. The Casita defines the east edge of the courtyard, excavated into the site, looking across the desert floor towards the mountains. A palo de arco trellis shades the patio that aims at Punto Lobo.

Upper level decks provide panoramic views of desert, mountain and ocean.
